JUST SPEAKING OUT " Sisterly Guidance"

Two sisters just  relaxing and basking in the summer sun. Enjoying the drinking of early morning coffee and discussing each others frame of mind. Enjoying also the hospitality of their mothers home. Obviously caught off guard by the camera their mother sought to capture in one of those motherly moments. One a writer of many unusual stories and things. The other an artist capturing the primitive folk art. The canyon is outside Elko, Nevada with deer and rabbits, coyotes, and a blue sky above. Two sisters just sitting there enjoying their mothers love as adults and the guidance the give to each other.

JUST SPEAKING OUT " Treasure found in Grandpa's Garage."

This bicycle was basically recycled from a grandfather's garage, I thought I would purchase a nice new bike one of those from a local retailer. Well one of the down hill mountain bike crew that I write about every so often said I might like this bike. I took a look at it and almost changed my mind three times and said no. The paint is scratched there are a couple of dings in the chrome light and it came with some kind of generator thing that helps the light to shine.   The seat is a little torn and does not appear original. Then I thought what the heck a little work it might be as good as new, I took a look at the serial numbers and traced them back to buy some replacement parts. What a surprise it was a 1958 Schwinn Traveler three speed bike, and the chrome rims have Austria stamped all over them. Well needless to say despite the fact it looked like it still needs restoring, and it is absolutely nothing I really have a clue about doing. I was happy to have found a fairly decent original Schwinn that was not a remake that turned out to be older than I am, and it came out of Grandpas Garage what an old piece of history still with the generator and the light and chrome fenders in tact. Now that is finding a little piece of treasure.

JUST SPEAKING OUT "THE FUN AND ADVENTURE IN REAL LIFE TREASURE HUNTING"

This is a sample of the small treasures that were found over the week end and with my $20.00 in spending cash. I enjoy sharing the adventures, and the profits that I make with family and friends, and also giving out tips on how to do this too.The $20.00 I am not sure whether it was a lucrative investment or not, but it sure was fun. I went to a local thrift store and started looking around, found a few things. Flea markets and garage sales are great for this too.
Many people do not know that even gold electroplate is valuable, although one of the chains in my adventure was stamped, it turned out that this chain had a 24k GB stamp, which the stamp usually means electroplate.
The key reason I purchased it was because the underlay with these chains are usually known to contain Silver, which is about $40.00 or so an ounce. This was a popular thing in the 1980's to do. The ring itself is another story, I did not have my kit with me, and it did not have a stamp. I almost put it back, and last minute glimpse in the light saying to myself "check it out do not dismiss this thing yet."   I then decided to purchase it.
Well just for the fun of it I took it to a local pawn shop they looked at and tested it with one of those little laser guns,  they verified it to be an actual diamond something called a moisturized diamond or something like that and the band was platinium. I have not found a lot of information available on the diamond name yet, although that is part of the process when a little treasure is found. The total spent on it was about $2.25 on that one, it also did not have a stamp or marking on the band. Found a Silver designer chain weighs about 16oz. multiplied x 40.00=about  $640.00 minus smelting and shipping fees. Last time I purchased some silver that was not clearly stamped. Bought it for $25.00 and the return was about $430.00. The local gold and silver buyers are usually only interested in the pieces that have a stamp, and do not have any electroplating. However, there are many companies out there who are interested, most are extremely reputable. Always do the research before sending your treasure off. Some of the companies even reimburse for shipping too. Treasure hunting every single time can have great success when it is done for fun. Although the greatest success most of all is the adventure.

JUST SPEAKING OUT "PETS AND HOW THEY COMMUNICATE!!!"

The cat in the photograph is mine, and I will be having him in a picture or two from time to time. He has just finished eating my snack and this is because I ran to bathroom, and did not get his on time. Since when do cats, like strawberries and bannana's he weighs about 25 lbs and is about 3 years old, does anyone know if yogurt is bad for cats. He is litterally sticking his tongue out at me after eating my yogurt. I live with a cat who effeciently communicates. He now owns an automatic cat food dish, after many episodes of being woke up at 2 or 3 am in the morning. Once packing the old small cat food bowl into bed and biting my nose until I got up and filled it.
He knows I will not let him have caffeine, so he decides to sip of my refill cup drinking from the straw. He picks up the car keys and places them where he thinks they should go, or where I can not find them, I know this is so I will make sure he has everything he needs before I go. He will take a bag of Doritos and drag them across the house until he gets one. Animals by far do not lack a sense of communication skills when it comes to geting their point across.
Awe come on it is only yogurt dont be mad.
